What is in a name? How can one attest to greatness, when one has never experienced madness? This is a question that Hefe Heetroc, a New Mexico transplant has pondered. What Hefe is talking about today, is what has been talked about for centuries. When one
has to figure out for the longest period of time; what genres classify themselves, and would lend themselves to his style of music. How could these hybrid styles morph together
to create a cacophony of wondrous sound and not some malodorous trash on today’s current radio stations? He seems to have won the answer; slick melodic robotic beats over loopy poetic quips that ring all through all times of space energy, in the galaxy expanding. Can one attest to greatness if one has never experienced madness?

This is a question that the artist that we’re talking about today, is what he was trying to figure out for the longest. Being yourself nowadays is considered a revolutionary act. To not be themselves, in this day and age, his production of music, how could “it” be?

He is a hybrid of genres morphed together to create a kickoff bigger than any SuperBowl game. His is a sound of wonder- Euro trash meets vaporwave, with a half drunk dubstep along for the ride! Is he without merit in his search? Well, he seems to have found the answer. His newest creation, the video for “Space Energy”, directed by the esteemed reclusive genius Aldrei Alfonso. Slink along with slick slippery beats, over loopy poetic
rings, through all times of space energy in the galaxy – expanding heavy stuff indeed; this
artist seems to be tackling it with great depth and fortitude. His mantra and/or vision,
was to be plastered all across the sky in this video, for everyone to see. For everyone to feel. For everyone to be here is, the eternal question, this artist has attempted to answer this, and I believe he has, with his latest Magnum Opus “Space Energy” a video of our protagonist traveling all over Albuquerque New Mexico, to the mountains, to the Rio, and finally an abandoned place peppered with graffiti. New Album Below! Album I Want Reviewed: The Julie Project

So his album / mixtape hybrid titled, (The Julie Project), is the album we chose to review today. Is from none other then Mr Hefe Heetroc from New Mexico, On his album he states, (The Julie Project) was an, “exercise in experimentation”, Mr Heetroc says, his business partner of his studio Whyte Wulf Studios in NM, made an off handed comment / joke to Hefe, that he should record a trap album under the moniker “27 SAVAGE”. After much thought. Well what turned from a joke into a reality is when he hit 1# on reverbnation on
their local charts, and number 21# on their regional charts. “I was stunned at first seeing how high the album charted”, Hefe says. He (Mr Heetroc’s Business Partner) told Hefe maybe this might work. And they both developed a business model to generate multiple revenue streams. As the streams and plays were tallied, Hefe replied, “hmmm let me develop this further”, As for his album? It was born from a simple off handed humorous concept “Hefe + Trap = 27 Savage”. The lyrics for his project were a “collection of material
written in Los Angeles & New Mexico, respectively, poetry, streams of thought, cut and paste poems.” he also says via text.

“Some of it written in Hotels with seedy females”, he recalls, “some in a shit hole of a slumlord styled room in the seedier parts of LA.” This really was the perfect opportunity for him to try and test out a new sound, interesting indeed!, So Hefe says, “they’re are some collabs based off some remixes that you see here”, when he used the term “remix”, he says he means it in the sense of a, “remix of beats that he made”, He hopes this alleviates any confusion to you the listener. He replied that he, “knows the quality is hit or miss”, and he claims “most of these were recorded in either nearly condemned houses in LA or other nefarious places in NM!”, pretty crazy stuff! The results speak for themselves, this is a very trippy well done album. As for this type of music, Its a transgressive sound, one can’t
pin down a specific style of music, or generalize any song specifically to one genre. It’s oddly addictive, and unlike anything this reviewer’s ever heard. Twisted beats, lyrics with double innuendos and meanings, topics not broached in the typical pro tools cut and paste garbage. topics run the gamut. The benign to the insane. Other Worlds, Oceans, to aliens, it’s all here folks.

This genre he has created he tentatively nicknamed “Alien Emo Trap”, fitting name! He is defiantly exploiting the trap beats sentiments, with a deeper, more lyrical poetic styled 3rd eye lyricism. Very heavy stuff indeed!
